Painted walls of Pogno

The first murals created in Pogno were “chosen” by the Municipality in collaboration with “Muri d’Autore Servizi”, which was responsible for coordinating the implementation of the initiative. The first murals were created starting in 2005.

The artists who took care of the creation of the paintings were welcomed by the people of Pogno and worked by presenting brilliant personal reworkings, to interpret the theme assigned to them – water – in homage to the most relevant element for the life of man and most important for Pogno itself, which, in addition to being located near Lake Orta, boasts a thriving production of taps and valves.
Seven mural paintings and a ceramic work are proudly displayed on the walls of some homes in the historic center. Pogno is part of the “Paesi Dipinti” circuit spread throughout Italy.
